11 Days

Hard to believe that this baby is due in 11 days! I have definitely been enjoying my maternity leave – though I wish I had more energy! I’m definitely starting to slow down a bit. My lower back has been hurting – which the Dr. attributes to the fact that the baby is facing the wrong way. At least Dubs is head down! I’m just hoping that the baby will turn itself around and face the right way before I go into labor – since I’m told that back labor is pretty painful.

Today we met with a car seat specialist to make sure that our car seats were installed properly. The guy said he had never seen someone install a seat base as well as Jeff had – so I know that Lil Dubs is in good hands :-) I, on the other hand, need a bit of training. Thankfully I don’t think I’ll have to mess with the bases much – and if I do, I know that Jeff will have it covered!

Had our 38 week appointment today.
Dubs is still big, but still content inside Ash.
Doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing him/her anytime soon.

The baby pool is closing today.
SIXTY-EIGHT responses!!!! That is AWESOME!
A rundown of the results.
People are guessing 60/40 split for a boy.
Over half of the responses say Dubs will be between 6.85 an 8.35 lbs.
(Hate to break to all of you, but Dubs weighed in @ 8.19 lbs this morning.)
Two-thirds say Dubs will be tall.
60% also say Dubs will be late.
I hope you are correct on those two (especially the late part).
And it’s a pretty even split on the time of day.
I’d say that’s a pretty good baby pool we have here.

Bonus points……where do the pictures above come from?
If you need help, see below.

Got both of the car seat bases in last night.
We have an appointment on Thursday to make sure they are in correctly.

Showed our apartment to some potential tenants…..hope they sign.
If thye do, we can move out early and save some $$$.

15 & 14

I didn’t post on Sunday as it was a fast day.
But if I did, it would have probably looked like this….

So hungry…..must eat now……
*snore*
LEAVE ME ALONE!
*snore*
Enticed to eat own foot.
DON’T JUDGE ME!
*snore*

Yeah, something like that. Probably much worse. I’m glad I didn’t.

Ash is off work now.
Good for her….not so good for me.
With no one to talk to on the ride to work….I’ve taken to talk to other cars, not the people in the cars, the cars themselves.
Oh, and I saw the most AWESOME person on the ride to work on Monday. This guy…

That’s right. It’s Mr. T as a little person. His name is Mini T and he’s AWESOME!

16 …(days to go) and pregnant

No real news today.
I guess the news is that there is no news.
I am on full alert, though.

Today is Ash’ last day of work!
YAYYYYYY!
I, on the other hand, have to come back on Monday.
BOOOOOOO!

18

Sorry for the late post.
There were some server issues last night.
We saw two great places last night.
Unfortunately, the better one had a construction issue.
Disappointing, but what are you going to do.

We also got our bags packed for the hospital.
I have to get the car seat in the SUV and then we will be ready to go!

Had our 38 week appointment today.
Dubs is measuring @ 40 weeks.
That’s right, this kid is already bigger than most newborns.
Very exciting (and I’m sure somewhat scary for Ash).

We go see the apartment on Thursday. We may have also found a backup.
Here are the 2 units we are looking at.
Apartment 1
Apartment 2
Hope we can get ONE of these.

WE MAY have found an apartment!!!!!!
We’ll know more later this week, but if we did, that will remove a LOT of stress.
(And I’m sure it will add other stress…..like moving.)

OH! And Ash has started her last week at work!
(I am VERY excited…..she, not so much.)
She keeps talking about how she has to get things done, how she may need to work late, yada yada yada.
I say just leave it and let them figure it out…….probably why she’s a better worker than I am.

21

Three weeks to go.
I repeat THREE WEEKS TO GO.
Ash is now full term.
Dubs could, technically, come at any moment.
(Although I don’t think the baby will get here before the 10th.)

So many little things to do, but each of them feels huge.
Pick up the house, clean up Dubs’ room, finish packing the labor and postpartum bags, and tons of other stuff that I am sure I will remember later.
I am pretty confident that we get them all done in time, but let’s just say that the pressure is on.
