Four Months! … And the start of… D- D- D- Daycare!!!!!

Theo is four months!!!
(Actually, he is 4.75 months as I am writing this…forgot to do the update.)

He is growing so fast and so big!
His measurements form his four month appointment were:
Head 43.5cm – 93rd percentile
Length 26.5in – 90th percentile
Weight 19lbs 8.8oz – off the chart; over the 100th percentile
We asked the doctor if we should start feeding him food and she said “No”.
He’s doing just fine with mommy being his only supply.

In other news, Ash is back at work now and Theo has started daycare.
(Harder on mommy than on Theo, but both are being very brave.)
He seems very happy at daycare and, most importantly, is worn out at night. He has never slept so well.
We have so much fun on our rides to work and back home. He is really trying to talk. And he definitely has a boys voice. It’s actually kinda deep.

Here are some pics and a video from the past month.
I’ll save the rest for the 5-month update.

Theo “Talking”

Three Months!

Theo is 3 months old – and couldn’t be cuter! Everyone that meets him falls in love with him (especially the ladies that watch him at the gym!) He has gotten so big the past few weeks – at his most recent Dr. Appointment, we learned that he was 17 pounds, 10 ounces and 25 inches – 97% and 85% respectively…no wonder my back hurts from carrying him! He has hit all of his 3 month milestones – and our pediatrician is very happy with his progress!

We are very excited to be taking him on his FIRST plane ride – and can’t wait for him to meet his family in Tennessee!

Two Months!

This week Theo turned 2 months old! He has started to really develop a personality and I can’t get over how much he changes each and every day. His smiles seem more “purposeful” now – and I’m afraid he already knows how powerful his grin is. We are in trouble…he is turning into the biggest flirt! He has also started to figure out that his hands are “his” – up until this point it seemed like he was surprised every time his hand found its way into his mouth or hit the rattle on his play mat. I’m also very happy that he has stopped pulling his own hair! We would hear a shriek and cry of pain – only to find Theo gripping onto his own hair for dear life.

Another great turn of events has been Theo’s sleep schedule. Something seems to have “clicked’ and Theo has extended his nighttime sleep so that he goes down at around 7:30pm and sleeps uninterrupted until between 5 and 6 am. At that point he takes a small feeding, and then sleeps soundly until we have to wake him at 7:30am. He has done this 3 out of the past 4 nights…so far so good. The goal is to get him to sleep soundly from 7:30pm to 7:30am …fingers crossed that this process continues to go smoothly!

In other news, our new dining room table arrives today! Very excited to have that set up – pictures to follow!

Theo is 1 (month) old

Can’t believe it’s already been a month!
He is doing so well.
Already holding his head up.
Starting to sleep at night (a little).
Next comes differential equations and then Mars.
They grow up so fast.

11 Days

Hard to believe that this baby is due in 11 days! I have definitely been enjoying my maternity leave – though I wish I had more energy! I’m definitely starting to slow down a bit. My lower back has been hurting – which the Dr. attributes to the fact that the baby is facing the wrong way. At least Dubs is head down! I’m just hoping that the baby will turn itself around and face the right way before I go into labor – since I’m told that back labor is pretty painful.

Today we met with a car seat specialist to make sure that our car seats were installed properly. The guy said he had never seen someone install a seat base as well as Jeff had – so I know that Lil Dubs is in good hands 🙂 I, on the other hand, need a bit of training. Thankfully I don’t think I’ll have to mess with the bases much – and if I do, I know that Jeff will have it covered!

Had our 38 week appointment today.
Dubs is still big, but still content inside Ash.
Doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing him/her anytime soon.

The baby pool is closing today.
SIXTY-EIGHT responses!!!! That is AWESOME!
A rundown of the results.
People are guessing 60/40 split for a boy.
Over half of the responses say Dubs will be between 6.85 an 8.35 lbs.
(Hate to break to all of you, but Dubs weighed in @ 8.19 lbs this morning.)
Two-thirds say Dubs will be tall.
60% also say Dubs will be late.
I hope you are correct on those two (especially the late part).
And it’s a pretty even split on the time of day.
I’d say that’s a pretty good baby pool we have here.

Bonus points……where do the pictures above come from?
If you need help, see below.

Got both of the car seat bases in last night.
We have an appointment on Thursday to make sure they are in correctly.

Showed our apartment to some potential tenants…..hope they sign.
If thye do, we can move out early and save some $$$.

15 & 14

I didn’t post on Sunday as it was a fast day.
But if I did, it would have probably looked like this….

So hungry…..must eat now……
*snore*
LEAVE ME ALONE!
*snore*
Enticed to eat own foot.
DON’T JUDGE ME!
*snore*

Yeah, something like that. Probably much worse. I’m glad I didn’t.

Ash is off work now.
Good for her….not so good for me.
With no one to talk to on the ride to work….I’ve taken to talk to other cars, not the people in the cars, the cars themselves.
Oh, and I saw the most AWESOME person on the ride to work on Monday. This guy…

That’s right. It’s Mr. T as a little person. His name is Mini T and he’s AWESOME!

16 …(days to go) and pregnant

No real news today.
I guess the news is that there is no news.
I am on full alert, though.

Today is Ash’ last day of work!
YAYYYYYY!
I, on the other hand, have to come back on Monday.
BOOOOOOO!
